Ad // Today I'm revealing the secret behind the best & creamiest smoothie bowl. I actually tried for years to get them how I tried them in Bali.
During my time in Bali, I always wondered how they do it. So incredibly creamy, light, almost fluffy. Simply amazing!
I learned that there are three factors are the most important:
Quality & order of ingredients
Irish Moss (definitely read on if you don't know what this is)
The "one and only" high-performance mixer
1. 1. It makes a huge difference what kind of ingredients you use and the order in which they get into the blender. Smoothie bowls in particular are supposed to be a real "health bomb" for the body. I prefer to use raw vegan ingredients *. This is very important to me, whether in the form of raw vegetables and fruit, powder (spirulina, barley grass, cinnamon, psyllium husks) or for my toppings *.
The order of the ingredients should be as follows:
At the bottom: soft ingredients such as fresh fruit, zucchini, cucumber, banana ...
Leafy greens (spinach, kale, lamb's lettuce ...)
Powder (psyllium husks, spirulina, barley grass, cinnamon ...)
Frozen fruits (raspberries, strawberries, blueberries ...)
Top: Frozen vegetables (broccoli, spinach, cauliflower ...)
2. The absolute game changer: IRISH MOSS This is exactly what they always used in the ingredients for the smoothie bowl in my favorite café in Bali. I just never knew what exactly it was and what it was used for. Now I've figured it out! It tastes very neutral and is just responsible for the binding and consistency. A little bit is enough to achieve perfect creaminess. Combined with other great ingredients, the "success guarantee" is 99%. Promised!
3. I knew that a good blender is important. But I would never have thought that the device alone would make such a significant difference. Now I have a Vitamix and would NEVER want to be without it AGAIN! The performance of this device is simply incredible. Every cent is really well invested! Personally, I chose the Vitamix Ascend 2500i and I just fell in love with it.
If you take the points into consideration, I can guarantee that you will never want to eat a smoothie bowl anywhere else. Just bring Bali home!
Psyllium husks are also an absolute must! They give the bowl this fluffiness. And last but not least (which you always don't think) the water that you use also plays a big role! I always use 9.5 pH water. You can read more about this here. Have fun trying! I look forward to seeing your creations!
